Preparing for Delivery
To facilitate a smooth delivery, please inform Macdonalds of any special requirements when scheduling your delivery. This includes:
- The need for a smaller truck for narrow roads or driveways
- Restricted delivery timeframes due to local ordinances
- Gated entry access or proof of insurance for high-rise and condominium buildings
- Multiple flights of stairs or reservations for service elevators
It is important to know the dimensions of the product being delivered and to plan the best route for our team to bring it into your home. Consider the following:
- Entry options and the route the delivery team will take through your home
- Measurements of entryways, hallways, and rooms
- Dimensions of the product being delivered, including furniture, appliances, and bedding
What to Expect on Delivery Day
To ensure a smooth delivery process, please prepare your home by:
- Clearing a path of any furniture or artwork in the way
- Securing low-hanging light fixtures
- Placing protective blankets on flooring or carpet (our delivery staff are not permitted to remove their footwear to prevent slips and falls)
- Confined pets to another room
- Ensuring driveways and walkways are clear of snow and salted during winter months
Please note that our delivery staff are not authorized to move or set up electrical equipment, connect or disconnect laundry hoses, or remove doors from hinges.
